Printing Guide

Printing Guide

Printing is a versatile option for adding logos, names, graphics and designs to clothing.

We offer two main printing options:

  • DTF (Direct-to-Film) Printing
  • Transfer Vinyl Printing

The best option depends on your design, the number of colours, the level of detail and the material of the garment.

What is DTF?

DTF stands for Direct-to-Film printing.

Your design is printed onto a special transfer film and then heat-pressed onto the garment. This allows the design to be transferred onto the clothing while retaining the colours and details of the original artwork.

DTF is suitable for:

  • Full-colour designs
  • Multiple colours
  • Detailed logos
  • Complex artwork
  • Designs with fine details
  • Graphics containing gradients and colour variation
  • Logos and artwork that are difficult to reproduce using single-colour vinyl

DTF printing is available only on cotton and polyester garments.

Before placing your order, make sure you know the fabric and material composition of your garment.

If you are unsure whether your garment is suitable for DTF printing, check the garment's product specifications or contact us before ordering.

Transfer Vinyl Printing

Transfer Vinyl is a heat-applied material that is cut into the shape of your design and pressed onto the garment.

Colour Options

  • Transfer Vinyl is available in single colour only.
  • You must choose from our available vinyl colour options.
  • Multi-colour designs cannot be produced as a single-colour vinyl print.
  • If your design requires multiple colours, consider DTF printing instead.

Transfer Vinyl is suitable for:

  • Simple logos
  • Names
  • Text
  • Numbers
  • Simple shapes
  • Designs with clean, defined edges
  • Single-colour branding

Transfer Vinyl is not suitable for:

Very fine details

  • Designs must have a minimum 4 mm gap between details.
  • Details or gaps smaller than 4 mm may not cut or transfer correctly.
  • Very fine lines, small enclosed areas or closely spaced design elements may therefore need to be simplified.

Maximum Print Size

The maximum standard print size is A3, 400 mm wide × 280 mm high.

If your design exceeds these dimensions, please contact us before placing your order to determine whether an alternative solution is available.

Printing Artwork Requirements

For printing, please provide your artwork in a high-resolution, print-ready format. Suitable file formats include vector files, PSD, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG and CDR, as well as PNG or JPG files at a minimum of 300 dpi. PNG and JPG files should not have a background colour permanently attached to the image.

Low-resolution artwork, particularly images below 200 dpi, may require additional artwork preparation before printing. For the best result, please provide the original artwork wherever possible rather than a screenshot or compressed image.
